Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Cru Brouilly 2009 (France)

Brilliant crimson color. The nose is complex and expressive with scents of violets mingling with freshly crushed red berries and accents of mineral, earth, and cardamon. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a dense and chewy core of red berry fruit with flanking notes of mineral. The tannins are semi-firm and very present at this stage. Ideally balanced with bright acidity. This wine calls out for a hearty stew.
