Napa Valley Distillery Meyer Lemon Liqueur (USA); 21% abv (USA)
Rich golden color with a slight haze. The nose is filled with the fresh scents of homemade lemonade with accents of wild honey, spring flowers, lemon zest, and cream soda. The palate is wonderfully balanced being rich while vibrant. So many Limoncellos lay heavy on the tongue while this sprite Liqueur has zest without a pithy astringency. Versatile being perfect after dinner or chilled as an aperitif. Bravo!
Nardini Acqua di Cedro (citron) Liquore (Italy); 29% abv (Italy)
Crystal clear. Vibrantly citrus focused in the nose. The palate opens quite sweet with flavors reminiscent of lemon candies. The texture is lush and silky but finishes clean with a drier, zesty note. An ideal liqueur for fans of limoncello.
Nardini Alla Mandorla Aperitif (Italy); 50% abv (Italy)
Crystal clear, pale straw color. The beautiful nose ideally captures the scents of a fresh amaretti cookie with its distinct cherry, and almond laced aromas. The palate is surprisingly dry at first sip building in flavors that become drier and pleasingly semi-bitter on the finish. A truly unique and wonderful spirit. Enjoy as an aperitif or digestif.
Nardini Aquavite di Vinaccia alla Ruta - Flavored Grappa (Italy); 42.8% abv (Italy)
Crystal clear with faint cooper-green color. The nose is amazingly complex offering scents of dried blueberry laced with the wild herbal aroma of rue (an herb thought to have sundry medicinal properties). The palate is wildly fruity touched with fresh, green herbs and green tea tannins. An original flavor that will evoke a love or hate response. I find it to be fascinating.
Nardini Aquavite di Vinaccia Riserva - Grappa (Italy); 50% abv (Italy)
Crystal clear, golden straw color. The nose is absolutely beautiful with aromas of spring flowers, sweet melons, and clementines ready to seduce the grappa phobic. The palate confirms the aromatics showing soft wood tones from the extended cask aging. A tremendous spirit that will please both the grappa enthusiast and novice alike. Fantastic!
Nardini Tagliatella Liquore (Italy); 35% abv (Italy)
Ruby to amber color. The aromatics of this unique liqueur are outrageously complex and alluring offering scents of wild berries, with notes of citrus, spring flowers, and a hint of anise. The palate strays form the aromas only to offer a complimenting tart fruit note that offers further intrigue and pleasure. A great way to either, begin or finish a meal.
